Channel One News, the leading television news network for teens,

and, with the start of the new school year, commencing a brand new
year of bringing students and educators an engaging daily broadcast
filled with new and dynamic integrations.
"Today, Channel One News airs the first program in our third
decade of broadcasting to young people -- a milestone of which all
of us at the network are extremely proud," stated Kent Haehl, CEO
of Channel One Network.
"Channel One News has been all over the world this summer,
diving deep into the global issues that will shape the lives of our
viewers for years to come," continued Mr. Haehl. "Channel One News
programming provides the dynamic and thought-provoking content our
viewers rely on in order to formulate their own views and opinions
on the issues of the day. The team we have in place for the coming
season is the most talented we have had in Channel One's history --
our viewers expect a lot from us and we are fully prepared to
deliver."
Channel One News 2010-2011 programming will include:
-- New Talent: Channel One News welcomes Shelby
Holliday to its on-air reporting team. Ms. Holliday, who joins
popular co-anchors Jessica Kumari, Steven Fabian, and Justin Finch,
launched her career in journalism as a student reporter and
producer for Palestra.net, a leading online college news network
and, most recently, contributed live reports and in-studio
appearances to Fox News Channel, Fox Business Network, and
FOXNews.com through a relationship between Palestra.net and Fox
News. Her coverage included the 2008 Presidential election, where
she provided live updates on the influential youth vote. Ms.
Holliday has been in the field all summer working on special
coverage, including a report delving into the cosmetics industry
and government regulation.
-- News Stories: Channel One News'
experienced reporting team continues to take on important issues of
the day and, from a global perspective:
- From the Atlantic Ocean to India and China and everywhere in
between, Jessica Kumari journeys around the globe to discover what
happens to our waste in an on-going series, Our Disposable
Lives.
- Justin Finch continues Channel One's coverage of the Deepwater
Horizon oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico, including a look at the
lasting effects of the Exxon Valdez spill in Alaska over 20 years
ago, which continue to this day.
- Steven Fabian follows the rise of neo-Nazi groups from the
borders of Mexico to rural Germany.
- Shelby Holliday asks What's Going On With Your Lunch? in
frequent reports on school lunch safety and nutrition.

the Channel One News team has been recognized, most recently by the
receipt of ten Telly Awards, which distinguish programming
excellence within the broadcasting community," stated Angela
Hunter, SVP, Executive Producer for Channel One News. "We're
kicking off the school year with great momentum and look forward to
sharing stories from around the globe that promise to intrigue,
