MILAN (Thomson Financial) - A2A SpA's system of corporate governance has
been questioned by the new mayor of Brescia, Adriano Paroli, the Corriere della
Sera reported, citing the mayor.
Speaking on local TV, Paroli said he had reservations about A2A's
dual-governance model with its supervisory and management boards, Corriere
reported.
"An industrial company needs a single board of directors," Paroli said.
The town municipalities of Brescia and Milan control A2A.
The two municipal shareholders have had differences of opinion recently over
corporate governance at A2A, the utility created from the merger of ASM Brescia
and Milan's AEM.
