AEM, ASM to sign A2A merger deed December 24, merger effective Jan 1 |

MILAN (Thomson Financial) - AEM SpA and ASM Brescia SpA said that the merger
deed to create regional utility A2A will be signed on December 24 and the act
registered at the Brescia and Milan company registers on December 28.
The merger, as expected, will be effective as of January 1, the two
companies said in a joint statement.
ASM ordinary shares will be delisted as of January 2, the first trading day
for A2A.
When the merger deed is registered the ex-dividend date of the extraordinary
dividend of 0.11 eur per ASM share, approved on October 22, will be settled on
December 28, with payment on January 4, the companies said.
