MILAN (Thomson Financial) - Acotel Group SpA, the Italian wireless network
operator, is close to reaching an agreement to use the network of Telecom Italia
SpA to offer mobile phone services, the daily MF reported without citing
sources.
Acotel could announce the accord in the next few days, MF said.
Acotel is preparing to launch a low cost internet-based mobile phone offer
through its subsidiary Noverca, the paper said.
Intesa Sanpaolo SpA, a shareholder of Telecom Italia, owns 4.75 pct of
Acotel and 10 pct of Noverca, MF said.
