Alleanza sees double-digit growth in new business production in Q1 |

MILAN (Thomson Financial) - Alleanza Assicurazioni SpA. Chairman Luigi Amato
Molinari said core new business production in the first quarter of the year saw
double-digit growth.
Molinari was speaking at the Alleanza shareholders meeting.
"The first quarter data which will be examined by the board on May 7 are
very good," Alleanza CEO Ugo Ruffolo added.
Ruffolo confirmed the group's 2008 targets but added that "achieving them
has become more difficult because of the state of the financial markets."
Alleanza is 50.4 percent controlled by Assicurazioni Generali SpA.
