MILAN (Thomson Financial) - Enia SpA, the Italian multiutility comprising
the local utilities of Reggio Emilia, Piacenza and Parma, said CEO Ivan Strozzi
has handed in his resignation.
Strozzi said in a statement he hopes his successor will be a top-flight
manager with "a personality that can lead Enia to its future goals that will be
very challenging".
On Tuesday, Iride SpA CEO Roberto Garbati said a meeting between Iride,
Enia, Hera SpA, and probably Acea SpA will take place soon to discuss
consolidation plans.
Iride Chairman Roberto Bazzano later said it is unlikely Acea will be part
of the integration talks.
