MILAN (Thomson Financial) - Italian aerospace and defence company
Finmeccanica SpA is in advanced talks to purchase New Jersey defence company DRS
Technologies Inc., people familiar with the matter told the Wall Street Journal.
The price is expected to be at a greater-than 25 percent premium to DRS's
Wednesday closing price of 63.74 dollars, the newspaper added. DRS has a market
capitalization of about $2.6 billion.
