MILAN (Thomson Financial) - Impregilo SpA said a consortium it leads has
been provisionally awarded a contract worth about 630 million euros to build the
first stretch of the Pedemontana Lombarda motorway.
Impregilo, which has been named as general contractor in the deal, has 47
percent of the consortium while Astaldi SpA has 24 percent, Pizzarotti SpA has
18 percent and Itinera SpA has 11 percent.
Impregilo said construction of the motorway is expected to start in 2010 and
last about three years.
