MILAN (Thomson Financial) - Unit trust net outflows totaled 8.390 billion
euros in April compared with a 10.349 billion euro outflow in March, investment
fund industry association Assogestioni said.
Net outflows in equity funds were 1.329 billion euros, in balanced funds 558
million euros, in bond funds 3.616 billion euros, in flexible funds 924 million
euros, in hedge funds 511 million euros, and in cash funds 1.452 billion euros.
Among the 10 leading fund management groups in Italy, the Intesa Sanpaolo
group registered an outflow of net investments of 2.371 billion euros while the
UniCredit group saw an outflow of 1.833 billion euros.
The UBI Banca group had an outflow of 84.6 million euros, Arca an outflow of
361 million euros, Banca Monte dei Paschi di Siena SpA an outflow of 380.4
million euros and the Banco Popolare group an outflow of 908.4 million euros.
Credit Agricole Asset Management saw an outflow of 368 million euros, the
BNP Paribas group an outflow of 313.6 million euros, the Mediolanum group an
inflow of 59 million euros and Azimut an inflow of 6.6 million euros.
