MILAN (Thomson Financial) - Unit trust net outflow totaled 10.299 billion
euros in March compared with a 7.341 billion outflow in February for funds
registered in Italy and abroad, managed by Italian intermediaries, according to
data released by the industry association Assogestioni.
Net outflow in equity unit trusts was 3.274 billion euros, net outflow in
balanced funds was 1.023 billion, net outflow in bond funds was 4.551 billion,
net outflow in flexible funds was 1.696 billion, and net outflow in hedge funds
was 190 million, while cash funds had a net inflow of 435 million.
Among the 10 leading fund management groups in Italy, the Intesa Sanpaolo
group registered an outflow of net investments of 4.087 billion euros; the
UniCredit group an outflow of 2.862 billion; the UBI Banca group an outflow of
139 million; Arca an outflow of 433 million; Banca Monte dei Paschi di Siena SpA
an outflow of 147 million; the Banco Popolare group an outflow of 986 million;
Credit Agricole Asset Management an outflow of 937 million; the BNP Paribas
group an outflow of 114 million; the Mediolanum group an inflow of 47 million;
and Azimut an inflow of 11 million.
