MILAN (Thomson Financial) - Mediaset SpA is expected to make a net profit
this year of more than 520 million euros, against the 505 million it reported
for 2007, said a study on the company in Sunday's Il Sole 24 Ore.
Full year EBIT is seen in line with 2007's 1.149 billion euros, after
absorbing 70 million on digital TV losses, while sales are seen rising by 5
percent to 4.3 billion, from 4.082 billion, it said.
Mediaset's strategy remains that of consolidating its leadership in
free-to-air generalist TV, while developing offerings for other distribution
channels and pushing its content offerings, it said.
