Ubi Banca's Centrobanca FY net down on one-off credit sales, write-downs

        MILAN (Thomson Financial) - Ubi Banca unit Centrobanca said its full year
net profit fell from a year earlier to 64.8 mln eur, after booking one-off
profits on the sale of credits, and after bringing write-downs in line with
group policy.
    Net profit was 82.1 mln eur in 2006.
    Net profit before one-offs rose 28.7 pct to 70.4 mln, said Ubi's corporate
and investment banking unit.
    Total income fell to 157.6 mln eur, from 175.7 mln, including a fall in net
interest income to 93.4 mln, from 95.3 mln, it said.
    Net commissions rose 23.6 pct to 29.0 mln eur, it said.
