MUMBAI (Thomson Financial) - Moody's Investors Service cut its ratings on
engine maker Briggs & Stratton Corp. citing its weak operating performance and
neative free cash flow generation and its challenging economic and industry
environment.
The outlook is stable.
The corporate family rating was cut to 'Ba2' from 'Ba1' and the senior
unsecured notes to 'Ba2' from 'Ba1.'
BGG's operations are highly cyclical, with Moody's anticipating that the
company's operating performance and credit metrics will vary from year to year
based, in large part, on weather conditions.
