FTSE 100 Seen Opening Higher Following Gains in Asia, US
0740 GMT - The FTSE 100 is expected to open higher following
positive sessions in Asia and Wall Street overnight. IG futures
data show the London index of blue-chip stocks opening up 18
points. The gains in the U.S. and Asia look set to translate into a
positive open in Europe, CMC Markets analyst Michael Hewson writes.
"The main focus of attention continues to be on next week's central
bank meetings of the Federal Reserve, European Central Bank and
Bank of England, and guidance on the likely glide path for rates
heading into 2023, as well as two important CPI [consumer price
index] reports, one from the U.K., and more importantly the
November CPI report from the U.S." (renae.dyer@wsj.com)
