Anglo American PLC on Wednesday reported revenue of $630 million for the sixth diamond sales cycle of 2022 which ran from July 11 to July 26.

This is down from $657 million in the fifth cycle between June 6 and June 21, but up from $514 million in the sixth cycle of 2021.

Bruce Cleaver, the chief executive of Anglo American's diamonds subsidiary De Beers Group, said that the company continued to see steady demand for its gemstones in the sixth sales cycle. "However, the diamond industry continues to adopt a watchful approach in light of the risks to consumer sentiment presented by macroeconomic challenges," he said.
