                         SENIOR MANAGEMENT APPOINTMENT


          "Ex McCarthy & Stone Sales & Marketing Director Joins Wren"



Wren Homes Group Plc ("Wren"), the AIM listed retirement homes developer,
announces that Richard Hill has been appointed as Sales & Marketing Director
designate, with immediate effect.


Richard, aged 50, has 25 years of management experience in the UK house building
sector, with his longest tenure being at McCarthy & Stone Developments Ltd,
where he spent six years in the Midlands and Dorset, latterly as sales and
marketing director for the company's southern region and being responsible for
around 450 profit completions per annum.


He later returned to the group as interim sales & marketing director before
working on a project for David Wilson Retirement Homes.


He has also worked at Renaissance Retirement, in Dorset, as a Company Director
and before that he was at Wainhomes Southern, in Hampshire and at Alfred
McAlpine Homes East Ltd, in Essex, both as a sales & marketing director.


Richard started his career in sales and entered the house building industry in
1981 with Maitland Selwyn, after being educated in the Midlands and in Somerset.
His interests include sailing, where he is a qualified yacht master with
commercial endorsement (UK) and a qualified instructor (Australia).

his business, sales, marketing and financial skills at blue chip companies in
the sector should make a valuable contribution to Wren, which intends to
continue to concentrate on developing apartments for 'active' retired people, as
opposed to those requiring care."


"We believe that identified changes to the UK's demographic pattern will
continue to see increased demand by growing numbers of the 'over-sixties' for
retirement apartments in our core operating areas of the southern M 25 corridor
and in other areas we are targeting geographically."
