--Tesla has held talks with Indian officials about domestic incentives being offered to car and battery manufacturers, as the electric-car maker looks anew at entering the Indian market, Reuters reports, citing a person with direct knowledge of the talks.

--The report by Reuters, which earlier this week reported that Tesla has proposed setting up a factory in India to build electric vehicles, said plans to locally manufacture EV batteries are also being discussed.

--Tesla didn't immediately respond to an emailed request for comment, according to the report.
