Siemens AG said Tuesday that it has appointed Eva Riesenhuber as its new global chief of sustainability.

Ms. Riesenhuber, currently head of investor relations, will take on the role on Oct. 1, the German industrial company said.

Jenny Bofinger-Schuster, the current head of sustainability at Siemens, will join the International Sustainability Standards Board on Dec. 1, Siemens said. The standards board is an independent body that works to ensure transparency and comparability of environmental, societal and governance reporting, the company said.
