Airbus SE said Tuesday that it delivered two five-bladed H145 helicopters to a German emergency medical service operator.

The operator, ADAC Luftrettung, will also upgrade its current fleet of 14 four-bladed H145s to the five-bladed rotor system, Airbus said.

ADAC Luftrettung, a nonprofit subsidiary of German motoring association ADAC, is one of Europe's biggest helicopter-emergency-medical-service operators and commands more than 50 Airbus helicopters from 37 stations throughout Germany, the European aviation giant said.

"We are delighted that ADAC Luftrettung has opted for the new five-bladed H145. This opens a new chapter in the cooperation between our two organisations that dates back more than 50 years," said Bruno Even, chief executive of Airbus Helicopters.
