Financial Corporation (NYSE: COF) today announced net income for
the third quarter of 2021 of $3.1
billion, or $6.78 per diluted
common share, compared with net income of $3.5 billion, or $7.62 per diluted common share in the second
quarter of 2021, and with a net income of $2.4 billion, or $5.06 per diluted common share in the third
quarter of 2020. Excluding adjusting items, net income for the
third quarter of 2021 was $6.86 per
diluted common share.(1)
