Food and beverage company Danone SA on Monday said Antoine de Saint-Affrique will become its new chief executive, effective Sept. 15.

He will succeed the joint interim leadership of Veronique Penchienati-Bosetta and Shane Grant, the company said.

The board also has proposed Mr. De Saint-Affrique become a member of the board at the next annual meeting of shareholders in April 2022, Danone said.

Mr. De Saint-Affrique joins Danone from chocolate and cocoa company Barry Callebaut, where he was named CEO in October 2015, Danone said.
