EBay Inc. has started exploring, reviewing and evaluating a range of strategic options for its South Korea business.

The e-commerce company is looking to maximize shareholder value and create future growth opportunities for this business, eBay said Tuesday.

It doesn't intend to provide further information about the strategic review until the board has settled on a course of action, the company said.
