Electricite de France SA said Wednesday that its subsidiary EDF Renewables has signed a green corporate power purchase agreement with SNCF Energie.

The French state-controlled utility company said EDF Renewables would supply electricity to SNCF Energie, a subsidiary of French railway company Societe Nationale des Chemins de Fer Francais SA, for 20 years from a photovoltaic power plant.

The plant is expected to enter service in 2023.
