Exor NV has appointed Diego Piacentini as advisor and chairman of its venture arm Exor Seeds.

The investment company said Friday that Mr. Piacentini's appointment comes as Exor plans to up its game in the technology sector directly and through companies in which it has holdings.

Mr. Piacentini previously held senior roles at Apple Inc. and Amazon.com Inc, and was nominated digital transformation commissioner by the Italian government in 2016.
