Margherita Della Valle to join RB Board as non-executive director

June 23(rd) , 2020, Slough UK - Reckitt Benckiser Group plc ("RB") is pleased to announce the appointment of Margherita Della Valle to the Board as a non-executive director, effective July 1(st) , 2020. She will also join the Audit Committee on the same date.

Ms Della Valle is currently the Chief Financial Officer and an Executive Director of Vodafone Group Plc, a role she has held since 2018. She also runs Vodafone Shared Services, which she established in 2011 to optimise quality and efficiency across the Group's customer, technology, finance and HR operations. It is now a digital centre of excellence for the Group.

Prior to her current role, Ms Della Valle was Deputy Chief Financial Officer, between 2015 and 2018, having held a number of senior positions in Finance beforehand, including Vodafone's Group Financial Controller and Chief Financial Officer of Vodafone's European region.

Early in her career, Ms Della Valle joined Omnitel Pronto Italia - which became Vodafone Italy - in 1994 and held various consumer marketing positions in data analytics and customer base management before moving into Finance. From 2004 to 2007, Ms Della Valle was Chief Financial Officer of Vodafone Italy.

In addition to her responsibilities at Vodafone, Ms Della Valle was a non-executive director at Centrica plc from 2010 to 2019. She holds a Master's in Economics from Bocconi University in Italy.

Commenting on the appointment, Chris Sinclair, Chairman of the Board said: "I am delighted that Margherita has agreed to join the Board. She has extensive experience of financial markets and digital technologies. She is also deeply experienced in business in both developed and developing markets. Margherita will bring great insight to the Board and we welcome her appointment."
