Board Changes
Wincanton plc, the largest British third-party logistics
company, announces that Mr Paul Dean has indicated his intention to
step down as Non-executive Director and Chair of the Wincanton plc
Audit Committee effective from the end of February 2021.
Wincanton is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr Anthony
Bickerstaff as a Non-executive Director of the Group with effect
from 1 September 2020. Mr Bickerstaff will also be appointed as a
member of the Company's Audit and Nomination Committees.
It is intended that Mr Bickerstaff will take over as Chair of
the Audit Committee on Mr Dean's departure.
Mr Bickerstaff is currently Chief Financial Officer of Costain
Group plc, the FTSE All-Share smart infrastructure solutions
company, a position he has held since 2006.
Before joining Costain, Mr Bickerstaff held a number of senior
management and financial positions in Taylor Woodrow, including
Finance Director of Taylor Woodrow Construction Limited. Prior to
becoming Finance Director, he was Divisional Operations Director in
charge of Taylor Woodrow Group's PFI projects.
Dr Martin Read CBE, Chairman of Wincanton, said: "We shall miss
Paul when he leaves us next year. He is a hard act to follow but we
are delighted that Tony will shortly be joining us. Tony has a
strong financial pedigree and extensive knowledge of the
infrastructure and support services sectors. His strategic and
operational experience will further strengthen our Board as
Wincanton moves into a new growth phase."
Tony Bickerstaff commented: "'I am looking forward to joining

positioned for growth."
Mr Bickerstaff will be stepping down from his current
Non-executive Director and Chair of the Audit Committee roles at
the Low Carbon Contracts Company Limited and Electricity
Settlements Company Limited with effect from 2 October 2020.
Mr Bickerstaff does not currently hold any Wincanton plc shares
and no further information in connection with his appointment is
required to be disclosed pursuant to Listing Rule 9.6.13R.
