France's Alstom SA (ALO.FR) said Monday that it will supply an
additional 20 five-car MP14 trains to the Paris metro system as
part of a 157 million-euro ($194.8 million) order with the city's
transport authorities.
Alstom said it will supply Ile-de-France Mobilites and the RATP,
a state-backed public transport operator, with 20 trains consisting
of five cars for line 11 of the Paris metro system.
These options form part of a contract signed in 2015 between
Alstom and RATP covering the delivery of up to 217 MP14 metros over
15 years for more than EUR2 billion, the company said.
A first option for 20 metros was exercised in December 2016, it
said.
