--Safaricom is in talks with the government of Ethiopia to bring its M-Pesa mobile-money service to the country, Reuters reports, citing unnamed sources.

--Vodafone, the parent company of Safaricom, would license the M-Pesa name to an Ethiopia-based bank, with Safaricom hosting servers in Nairobi, Reuters says.

--M-Pesa has almost 30 million users in Kenya, according to Reuters.
