Lions Gate Entertainment (LGFA) and Vivendi S.A.'s Universal Music Publishing Group signed a long-term agreement for UMPG to represent Lions Gate's music publishing properties, including musical compositions and scores.

Under the agreement, UMPG will also administer Lions Gate's music rights, including licensing, revenue collection and accounting.

The companies said they will also work to use UMPG's roster of songwriters and song catalog in Lions Gate's film, television and digital content.

Lions Gate's A shares were recently down 1.9% at $23.20.
