Vinci SA (DG.FR) said Tuesday that Vinci Airport's ANA
subsidiary signed an agreement with the Portuguese government to
finance the expansion of Lisbon's airport capacity.
Under the agreement, ANA, the operator of 10 airports in
Portugal, will invest 1.5 billion euros ($1.72 billion) by 2028, of
which EUR650 million will be put toward an extension of the
existing Lisbon airport, Vinci said.
ANA will also invest EUR500 million in the opening a new civil
airport in Montijo, Vinci said. Another EUR156 million will be
invested to compensate the Portuguese Air Force and contribute to
access works in Humberto Delgado and Montijo, the French
concessions and construction company added.
The project will be entirely financed by the private sector, in
line with the Portuguese government's original plans, Vinci
said.
