ENI SpA (ENI.MI) said Tuesday that it has made a new light-oil discovery on the Ndungu exploration prospect in Block 15/06 deep offshore Angola.

The Italian energy company said the discovery is estimated to contain up to 250 million barrels of light oil with further upside.

Block 15/06 is a joint venture between Eni, which is the operator, Angola's Sonangol P&P and SSI Fifteen Limited. Eni and and Sonangol each hold 36.8421% of the JV, and SSI holds the remaining 26.3158%.
