Podcast partners win a total of seven British Podcast Awards
Audioboom (AIM: BOOM), the leading global podcast company, announces that the Group and its podcast partners won seven awards at the British Podcast Awards ('BPA') held on Saturday 18 May in London.
Audioboom's Original Network production 'Dead Man Talking' won Silver in the "Best True Crime" category; 'The Totally Football Show' and 'The Cycling Podcast' were awarded Gold and Bronze respectively in the "Best Sport" category; 'Qmmunity' collected Silver in the "Best Sex & Relationships" category; 'Feminists Don't Wear Pink' took home Bronze in the "Best Branded Content" category; and 'About Race with Reni Eddo-Lodge' won Silver in the "Best New Podcast" category and Bronze in the "Smartest Podcast" category.
Audioboom provides their British Podcast Award winning partners with key tools to help them be successful, including technology to host and distribute their shows, and advertising sales to monetise their podcasts.
Rob Proctor, CEO of Audioboom, commented: "The British Podcast Awards event was established in 2017 to highlight the very best podcasts of the year, made for Great Britain. We are obviously delighted that our partners have won these prestigious awards and we are happy to be helping them with their continued success.
"A very honourable mention goes to the whole of the F1 production team for its nomination in the "Best Sport" category for 'Beyond the Grid'.
"These achievements follow the recent success of Audioboom's 'And That's Why We Drink', which was named Best Comedy Podcast at last month's 2019 Webby Awards, the leading international awards honouring excellence on the Internet, held in America."
