ProSiebenSat.1 Media SE (PSM.XE) said Wednesday that it entered into an agreement with Facebook Inc. (FB) to offer a range of videos from its catalogue on Facebook Watch, the social network's new core video platform.

The Munich-based broadcaster said it is the first TV group in Europe to enter into such an agreement with Facebook. ProSieben aims to increase its digital reach and generate "additional revenues" in its content and production businesses through the deal, it said.

ProSieben's video inventory includes content from recent TV shows and programs, archived content and clips produced exclusively for Facebook Watch, the company said.

Facebook Watch plays social and interactive video experiences, including live video, and provides users with a personalized feed of video content, ProSieben said.

"Our cooperation with Facebook is unique in Europe and the starting point for further collaborative opportunities," ProSieben's Chief Digital Officer Entertainment Eun-Kyung Park said.
