Fiat Chrysler Automobiles NV (FCA.MI) has signed agreements with Engie SA (ENGI.FR) and Enel SpA's (ENEL.MI) Enel X to provide e-mobility services.

Under the two agreements signed, the partners will offer charging solutions and other services, as well as research and testing of new technologies, to the car maker, Fiat Chrysler said Friday.

"The primary objective of the two partnerships is to offer private and public charging solutions to support sales of FCA's forthcoming electric vehicle line-up," it said.

The car maker said that it wants to install around 700 charging points in Italy in the next two years. These will be set up at the company's plants, offices and other premises, so that employees will be able to charge their vehicles while working.

The company will partner with Enel X in Italy, Spain and Portugal, while the agreement with Engie covers 14 other European countries.

"These partnerships build on the e-mobility strategy we announced last year as part of our five-year business plan," Fiat Chrysler Chief Executive Mike Manley said.
