Regulation FD Disclosure

On August 2, 2019, Imperial Oil Limited (the “company”) by means of a press release announced that the board of directors
declared a quarterly cash dividend of 22 cents per share on the outstanding common shares of the company for the third quarter of 2019. The dividend is payable on October 1, 2019, to shareholders of record at the close of business on
September 4, 2019. A copy of the press release is attached as Exhibit 99.1 to this report.
