Pound Climbs Ahead Of U.K. GDP Data

The U.K. mortgage approvals for August and GDP data for the
second quarter are due at 4:30 am ET Monday. Ahead of these data,
the pound rose against its major rivals.
The pound was quoted at 132.83 against the yen, 1.2309 against
the greenback, 1.2225 against the franc and 0.8882 against the euro
as of 4:25 am ET.
