Siemens said that Horst J. Kayser has been appointed as chairman of Siemens Portfolio Companies and that he will continue in his current role as head of strategy of Siemens group on an acting basis. "Siemens Names New Chairman for Portfolio Companies Unit," at 1035 GMT, misstated that Mr. Kayser was taking on his new role in addition to the role of head of strategy at Siemens group in the second paragraph. In fact, he will continue in the head of strategy position only on an acting basis.
