Heineken NV said Tuesday that Chief Executive Jean-Francois van Boxmeer will step down after leading the company for 15 years, and it named Dolf van den Brink, who currently heads its Asia Pacific operations, as his successor.

The Dutch brewer said Mr. Van den Brink will join its executive board on April 23 and that Mr. Van Boxmeer will hand over his responsibilities on June 1.

Mr. Van Boxmeer joined Heineken as a management trainee in 1984, was appointed as member of its executive board in 2001 and became CEO in 2005, the company said.

Heineken separately said Stefan Orlowski, currently president of the company's European operations, has decided to leave the business after 22 years to pursue his private entrepreneurial interests.
