SSE Sells 50% Stake in Waste-To-Energy Project to Danish Fund

SSE PLC said Friday that it has agreed to sell a 50% stake in
the waste-to-energy Slough Multifuel project in Berkshire, England,
to Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners.
The U.K. power utility said that construction is expected to
begin in early 2021 and take up to four years. Total investment is
estimated to be around 350 million pounds ($432 million).
Upon completion, the 50 megawatt waste-to-energy facility will
be operated by SSE.
Shares at 1000 GMT were down 4.5 pence, or 0.4%, at 1,235.5
pence.
