Parisian luxury brand Louis Vuitton has brought in British
luxury handbag maker Mulberry Group PLC's creative director to
design its women's handbags.
The prestigious brand on Tuesday named Johnny Coca as director
for women's-fashion leather goods effective from June 2.
"It's with great pride that I join [Louis Vuitton Creative
Director] Nicolas Ghesquiere and the Louis Vuitton teams to further
develop the women's handbag collections," Mr. Coca said.
Louis Vuitton's leather-goods category is one of the most
profitable among the many business lines of its owner, luxury
conglomerate LVMH Moet Hennessy Louis Vuitton SE.
Mulberry, a much smaller brand, announced Mr. Coca's departure
in March.
