Cause of Tesla fire at Richmond mall under investigation
A Tesla went up in flames in the parking lot of a Richmond mall over the weekend.
A video posted on Chinese social media platform Little Red Book on Saturday, April 20, shows a black Tesla's front hood engulfed in flames in the parking lot between Yaohan Centre and President's Plaza.
Possible spontaneously combusting Tesla.

How does EMF cause lithium batteries to experience thermal runaway and thus spontaneously combust? One of two main ways:
#1 - Overcharge/Discharge
With various impressed external magnetic field intensities an effect was noticed on the charge and discharge curves as well as the charge and mass concentrations within the batteries. With the two-dimensional model starting from 0mT and going to 1mT had the effect of discharging the battery faster and charging the battery faster. With the two-dimensional model starting from 1mT and going to -1mT had the effect of charging the battery faster. In either case an effect on the various characteristics of the battery were studied. With the experiments conducted on the two types of batteries the effect was more profound than subtle. Discharge times were twice as fast and charge times were equally
affected. With the smaller batteries they all generally charged faster under the presence of a magnetic field due to more uniform penetration. In the presence of the field they also discharged faster. The larger batteries would not see the same uniform penetration because only a small area of the battery sees the center of the coil it is placed on
In this dissertation, they found that external magnetic fields significantly increased charge and discharge rates in individual lithium battery cells; like shown in the following image. They also found that smaller batteries were impacted to a greater degree than larger ones. This is likely a reason Tesla is switching to larger battery cells in addition to employing magnetic attenuating honeycomb sandwich battery pack.

#2 - Stimulation of Dendrite Growth
Thermoelectric current causes asymmetric growth pattern of dendrites.
thermoelectromagnetic convection occurs in the vicinity of the solid-liquid interface, and vortices are generated between dendritic arms. It is shown that the thermoelectromagnetic convection has a major influence on dendritic morphology.

The scam behavior continues. If rising price reflects a better product then a dropping price means desperation?
Elon Musk slashes price for Tesla’s vaunted self-driving tech by a full third—FSD now costs as much as in 2020
Rolled out to a select few three and a half years ago, the highly anticipated beta gave Musk the opportunity to hike the cost of FSD to $10,000. He would continue to urge his loyal customers to buy FSD, since the longer they waited, the more it would cost them.
That’s because Musk repeatedly claimed the price would go up the better the software got and the closer FSD came to driving without human supervision, at which point, he boasted, it would be worth over $100,000. Initially he also kept his word: Two subsequent hikes, which culminated in a record increase to $15,000 in 2022, were pushed through despite no substantive progress having been made.
The issue was that take rates had plummeted after customers broadly gave up on his annual promise of a breakthrough next year. He had to resort last month to compulsory trials when new owners picked up their car for the first time. Attempts to license the technology to rival carmakers also collapsed, he admitted in January.
In a way, Musk has given up on FSD as well. In what appears to be an acknowledgement that existing owners will not experience their cars turning into robo-taxis overnight—what Musk called Tesla’s “ChatGPT moment”—he opted to simply end the beta test in favor of calling the software “supervised FSD.” This opens up the chance to recognize nearly $926 million in deferred revenue
How is it more people arent calling Musk and Tesla out for this fake it until you make it scam behavior? Oh right the stockprice hasnt collapsed like Theranos so the con keeps going...At least theres a few mainstream articles alluding to the con. Recognizing the revenue helped prop their financials up.
it was arguably a referendum on “fake it till you make it” practices, such as intentionally overstating, and thereby misrepresenting, a fledgling company’s current capabilities, success, or profitability, while banking on the notion that its aspirations will eventually follow the desired trajectory and become a reality.

What is a fake it until you make it practice? Tesla is a bigger scam than Theranos

Elon Musk is keeping investors’ dreams of a Tesla robotaxi alive
Rather than dwell on quarterly financials or the massive restructuring announced last week, Musk reiterated his vision of Tesla as a company that’s building artificial intelligence software to turn existing cars into self-driving vehicles, dedicated robotaxis that will make money for their owners and a driverless transportation network.
“If somebody doesn’t believe Tesla’s going to solve autonomy, I think they should not be an investor in the company,” Musk said on the earnings call. He added, “We will, and we are.”
No Tesla will not because the hardware running it will continue to suffer glitching from EM radiation causing the vehicles to go out of control! This problem will only get worse as the earths magnetic field weakens further. Brought on by Musks SpaceX debris? Lol.
Musk also talked up a driverless network that’s like Uber
with Tesla autonomous vehicles.
“When the car is not moving,” Musk said, “there’s potential to actually run distributed inference,” through the hardware that’s in the cars.
Musk has been making these kinds of pronouncements for years.
In 2015, Musk told shareholders that Tesla cars would achieve “full autonomy” within three years. They didn’t. In 2016, Musk said a Tesla car would be able to make a cross-country drive without requiring any human intervention before the end of 2017. That hasn’t happened either.
And in 2019, on a call with institutional investors that would help him raise more than $2 billion, Musk said Tesla would have 1 million robotaxi-ready vehicles on the road in 2020, able to complete 100 hours of driving work per week each, making money for their owners.
The robotaxis would make Tesla a company worth $500 billion, he said at that time. Tesla’s market cap is around that mark now and even topped $1 trillion in 2021, but the company has never managed to deliver on its driverless promises.

TREND ANALYSIS
TSLA appears to be in a strong bearish trend. Shares are below a declining 200-day moving average and the MACD is beneath its signal line. Comparative Relative Strength analysis shows that this issue is lagging the S&P 500
Momentum for TSLA is improving. The 14-period Slow Stochastic Oscillator is rising as investors begin to purchase shares.
Volume:Today's volume is on track to be heavier than usual, with 171,557,180 shares having traded so far. The On Balance Volume indicator (OBV) is bearish. The slope of the indicator is negative and suggests that there is a lack of buying interest.
PS: Tesla share price LOW POLE REVERSAL today, on 24-April-2024. This is positive news.
Volatility: Bollinger Bands® use standard deviation of the closing price around a moving average to measure volatility. The Bollinger Bands® are presently wider than usual, as a result of greater than normal volatility that accompanied the recent price move. Events such as this may precede a pause or reversal in the near term trend as of 3:58 PM ET Wednesday, 04/24/2024

“In short, this is an utter disaster (both the result/cash-burn, and the guide/abandonment of the next-gen platform); stated differently, for the TSLA bears, Christmas just ‘came early,'” he said.
He sees Tesla abandoning the low-cost, next-gen platform and resorting to “de-contenting” existing models. He considers this a “huge letdown.”
Johnson further criticized Tesla’s record cash burn in the first quarter, with a negative free cash flow of $2.53 billion, far below estimates and marking the company’s worst quarter ever in this metric. He also highlights a drop in operating margin from 8.2% to 5.5%, missing analyst expectations and significantly lower than the global auto industry average.
“This is a catastrophe, as this puts TSLA's op. margins in line/worse than the global auto industry,” he said.
Johnson also said Tesla’s revised 2024 growth target is “notably lower” than the previously announced 50% growth projection

lasts over 500k miles
In theory yes but its a crap shoot if that will be your experience in reality. Theres plenty of stories of people have to replace their batteries under warranty or just as it expires. This is in part due to EM radiation causing dendrite buildup in batteries.
========================================
Surface electromagnetic fields, like whats seen during auroras, interact with lithium batteries causing abnormal dendrite buildup like seen in Arizona Battery plant fire in 2019. That abnormal dendrite growth can pierce battery separators leading to a short and thermal runaway.
Cells taken at random from elsewhere in the battery system, and from its twin system at Festival Ranch, showed “lithium metal deposition and abnormal dendritic growth,” DNV GL notes.
"Because the evidence of Lithium metal deposition and abnormal dendritic growth was sufficiently present in the random samples that were analyzed, it was determined to a reasonable degree of scientific certainty to be the anomaly that caused the initial cell failure and ensuing thermal runaway," battery safety expert Davion Hill wrote in the APS report.

Consider having to replace your tires 1-2 times per year instead once every 5 years or so. EVs pollute more and cost more due to excessive tire wear.
Electric vehicles release more toxic emissions, are worse for the environment than gas-powered cars: study
Electric vehicles release more toxic particles into the atmosphere and are worse for the environment than their gas-powered counterparts, according to a resurfaced study.
The study, published by emissions data firm Emission Analytics, was released in 2022 but has attracted a wave of attention this week after being cited in a Wall Street Journal op-ed Sunday.
It found that brakes and tires on EVs release 1,850 times more particle pollution compared to modern tailpipes, which have “efficient” exhaust filters, bringing gas-powered vehicles’ emissions to new lows.
Today, most vehicle-related pollution comes from tire wear.
Electric vehicles are often heavier than regular gas-powered cars due to the weight of their engines, which can reach 1,850 pounds. The heavier engines place extra weight on the tires and cause them to wear out faster, according to the study. A 1,100-pound engine can cause more than 400 times the emissions as direct exhaust emissions.
Particle pollution from tires is the biggest contributor to vehicle-related emissions.
I have a hard time believing its simply weight that causes EVs to go through tires at, sometimes, an excessive pace. They are not that much heavier to cause the vehicles to go through tires in as little as 5k miles. My guess is it has something to do with the EM radiation that comes off EVs coupled with the metals in the tires.
“But you have this downside of EVs that increases particle pollution. Air pollution is about what we breathe and the health effects,” Molden said, assuring that the toxins in tires have much less impact on climate change than they do on “what we eat and are ingesting.”
Increased exposure to these toxins “can increase the risk of health problems like heart disease, asthma, and low birth weight,” according to the New York Department of Health, which noted that pollution from sources including vehicle exhaust can travel long distances from its source and still cause health issues at unhealthy levels.
“A lot of it [chemicals] goes into the soil and water, affecting animals and fish. And we then go and eat the animals and fish, so we are ingesting tire pollution,” Molden added.
New tires every 7,000 miles? Electric cars save gas but tire wear shocks some Florida drivers
But after less than 5,000 miles of driving around his Boca Raton neighborhood, Semel was shocked to find some essential — and very expensive — parts were already wearing out. The tires. “If somebody looked at me and said, Mr. Semel, you are going to love this car but in about 7,000 miles you will have to pay 1,400 or 1,500 dollars to replace the tires, I wouldn’t have bought the car,” Semel said. For many drivers of EVs in Florida — the nation’s second largest market for electrical vehicles — premature tire wear has become an unexpected black mark on vehicles promoted as a green climate-friendly option to gas-gulping cars.
At EV Garage Miami, a Sweetwater repair shop that services 90 percent electric vehicles, lead technician Jonathan Sanchez said tires are the most frequent thing customers come in about — no matter what model or make of EV they’re driving. Tire mileage can vary widely of course, but he said he frequently changes EV tires at just 8,000 to 10,000 miles — a fourth or even fifth of typical tire wear on a gas-burning car.
Not even better for the environment. The level of the con game associated with Tesla is crazy.

Coroner identifies semi-truck driver killed in wreck on I-75 southbound in Scott County
Officials tell LEX 18 that several other crashes occurred after traffic stopped, including one involving a sheriff's deputy and an emergency management worker. The deputy says he was closing the road when he noticed a Tesla that wasn't slowing down and warned the worker.
According to officials, the deputy and emergency management worker narrowly got out of the way before the car crashed into the cruiser and smashed into the EMA trailer. The deputy was taken to the hospital with minor injuries, and the driver of the vehicle that crashed suffered serious injuries.
"We owe this guy a dinner because he was flashing his flashlight at the driver, blowing the whistle, doing everything possible to try and get that other driver's attention," said emergency management director Michael Hennigan.
Hennigan said that the driver of the Tesla never applied their brakes or swerved before crashing into the emergency vehicles. The sheriff's office will investigate that crash, he said.
Was the Tesla driver on Autopilot asleep? Where was Tesla automatic emergency braking? How come despite attempts to get the drivers attention or even the cars, nothing changed?
