I agree it looks like it has hit the bottom and is going to bounce back.

Could be a better long term investment

Symantec has big issues. Its products are constantly being assimilated by Microsoft. Still.. Microsoft has lost its way too, so maybe other publishers are going to see some improvement. I don't rate its internet security product either.

Balance sheet looks a little high on short term debt, but other than that the financials look healthy, with all the figures going in the right direction.

Lets do some math

Symantec - P/E 40.2 Price/Sales 7.41

Microsoft P/E 23.7 Price/Sales 7.47

McAfee P/E 31.4 Price/Sales 5.27

I reckon they could go down to about 12
