SUBJECT:  Offer for Subscription of up to 20,000,000 "C" Shares (the "Offer")

The Board of Baronsmead VCT 4 plc is pleased to announce that applications in
respect of the Offer have been received for 20 million "C" shares.  As the Offer
is fully subscribed it is now closed.

Shares allotted pursuant to these applications will be allotted on 10 March
2006, subject to shareholder approval to extend the life of the Company to 2013
by way of a special resolution.  This resolution is to be considered at the
Company's Annual General Meeting on 9 March 2006.
