Announcement of the conversion of C shares into ordinary shares 
 
 
 
 
The Board of Baronsmead VCT 4 plc ("the Company") announces that the 
calculation date for the final conversion of the C shares into ordinary shares 
of 10 pence each was close of business on 31 December 2008. 
 
 
The conversion ratio calculated in accordance with the Company's Articles 
of Association was 1.03723828 which results in 10,372 new ordinary shares 
being allotted on 28 January 2009, for every 10,000 C shares held or pro rata 
thereto. 
 
 
Accordingly, the Board has issued 21,980,574 new ordinary shares which rank 
pari passu with the existing ordinary shares. This brings the total number 
of ordinary shares in issue to 55,259,913 of which 2,441,453 are held in 
Treasury. Therefore the total number of ordinary shares with voting rights in 
the Company is 52,818,460. 
 
 
Details of the C share conversion and entitlements will be sent to 
C shareholders on 29 January 2009.  Trading in these additional shares is 
expected to commence on 29 January 2009 at 8am. 
 
 
Following the final C share conversion of 50p shares into 10p new 
ordinary shares by 29 January 2009, the C shares will be removed from the 
Official List.
