The New Zealand Investment Trust plc                      

The Company was informed on the 12 February 2008 by Mr Donald Campbell,
Chairman of the Company, that following the acquisition of 4,838 Ordinary 25p
shares of the Company by Guaranty Finance Investors LLC, he now has a
beneficial interest in 445,443 shares of the Company representing 4.67% of the
issued capital.

Mr Campbell is deemed to have an interest in these shares as a result of having
a minority interest in Guaranty Finance Investors LLC.
