Seagate (NASDAQ:STX) invites you to follow the company’s
activities during the 2011 South by Southwest (SXSW) Conferences
and Festivals, March 11-20, 2011. The company will be showcasing
its full breadth of consumer and small business solutions on-site
at the SXSW Trade Show, running March 14-17, booth #924. You’ll not
have to be in Austin to keep up on all the action. During the
Interactive, Music and Film festivals, Seagate will be actively
updating with photos, video, blogs and news on the Seagate@SXSW web
page.

action in Austin this week at the SXSW Interactive, Music and Film

During the festival, Seagate will unveil the Creative
Professionals Program, a new initiative to promote how storage
plays an integral role in the creative process for music, film and
photography. The program will showcase each participating artist
and display how storage has become the digital canvas for their
creations. The inaugural creative professional contributors will be
announced later this week.
Seagate will also sponsor the Daytrotter’s Horseshack studios at
SXSW 2011. Daytrotter.com is a website for the recording studio,
Horseshack, which records sessions of many popular and upcoming
indie music acts. Daytrotter will be hosting a long list of guest
artists to record at the Horseshack studio in Austin during the
festival. These trademark Daytrotter recordings are made available
for free from daytrotter.com.
In addition to Daytrotter’s Horseshack studios, Seagate will
also sponsor John Oliver’s New York Stand-Up Show @
SXSW. Come see John Oliver, Kumail Nanjiani, Brendon
Walsh, Al Madrigal, and Pete Holmes perform live! In celebration of
the second season of his Comedy Central stand-up series, John
Oliver and friends will take the stage at Esther’s Follies on
Monday, March 14th. There will be two performances that night, one
at 8:00pm and the other at 10:30pm both free of charge to SXSW
badge holders. During the two performances, attendees will get
the opportunity to win a Seagate GoFlex™ Ultra-portable drive
loaded with Comedy Central content.
Also taking place on Monday, March 14th is the GdGt LIVE event
where Seagate will showcase its award-winning GoFlex™ storage
family of solutions from 7pm-10pm at the PureVolume™ House. GdGt is
a social networking website and podcast that specializes in
consumer electronics founded by Peter Rojas and Ryan Block. The
GdGt LIVE event is open to the public aged 21 and over and those
interested should RSVP here.
