DETROIT, Mich., June 5, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- American Axle & Manufacturing Holdings, Inc. (AAM) today announced that Co-Founder, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Richard E. Dauch will be the luncheon keynote speaker at the Automotive Parts Manufacturers' Association (APMA) 2012 Annual Conference & Exhibition.  Dauch will address conference attendees on June 7 at Caesars Windsor Hotel and Casino in Windsor, Ontario.

Dauch will discuss global trends that are transforming the North American automotive market while addressing the conference theme of "Establishing A Competitive 2020 Vision."

"Manufacturers that will exist in the year 2020, will have a global perspective and strategy in addition to a market cost-competitive business model," said Dauch.  "To be successful, they must have an exceptional product portfolio that adds value to the customer while remaining diversified, growth oriented, flexible and efficient enough to drive change."

"APMA is deeply honored to have Dick Dauch as the keynote luncheon speaker," said APMA President Steve Rodgers.  "Through the years, Dick has clearly demonstrated how to operate cooperatively in the North American auto industry.  His insights will be of great value to our member companies and conference delegates."

Details of Dauch's upcoming book entitled "American Drive," available this September, will be announced at the conference.
