Dana Holding Corporation (DAN) recently
announced the launch of the new Spicer Rui Ma branded axles and
transmissions and also displayed a wide range of Spicer mining
axles and TZL series powershift transmissions. The new Spicer Rui
Ma, manufactured in Wuxi, Jiangsu Provence, China, provides
technological and qualitative advancement for the company’s Spicer
brand.
The Spicer Rui Ma branded products provides better performance and
reliability at affordable costs for the construction and
off-highway industries in China. The new drivetrain solution
possesses technical expertise to reduce vehicle downtime, increases
the working life of vehicles and improves operator comfort, thus
improving overall productivity. In addition, the company’s growing
network of engineering, aftermarket parts and service teams in
China will significantly boost the performance of the product.
Dana believes that with the diversification and sophistication in
the Chinese market, the suppliers must come up with upgraded
technologies, engineering capabilities, complete systems, and
responsive service offerings. The company will initially be
offering the TZL16 RM powershift transmission, the T08 RM
transmission, and the T39 RM tridem axle in China. The company also
plans to introduce more Spicer Rui Ma transmissions and axles in

opening a new aftermarket distribution center. The centre will
likely enhance product availability and improve delivery time to
the aftermarket customers. The company also plans to open a 12,000
square-meter technical center in Wuxi in 2013, which will support
the development of an advanced product through research, design
development and testing of drivetrain.
Maumee, Ohio-based Dana is one of the world’s leading suppliers of
driveline, sealing, and thermal technologies, which improves the
efficiency and performance of passenger, commercial and highway
vehicles. The company’s major competitors include Magna

Currently, Dana retains a Zacks #3 Rank, which translates into a
short-term (1 to 3 months) Hold rating.
