Detroit, Michigan, February 18, 2013 - American Axle & Manufacturing Holdings Inc., (AAM), which is traded as AXL on the NYSE, today announced the following officer appointments:

Terry J. Woychowski has joined AAM as Senior Vice President, Engineering & Quality. In this role, Woychowkski assumes the responsibilities of leading AAM's product engineering and development, global manufacturing services and quality and warranty activities. Woychowski, a former General Motors Corporation (GM) executive, most recently served as GM's Vice President, Global Quality & Vehicle Launches. In a career that has spanned more than 30 years in the automotive industry, Woychowski has directed total product engineering of full size trucks, led total program management for the engineering and manufacturing of cars and trucks worldwide and has successfully led the efforts to develop and integrate quality strategies across international markets.

Mark S. Barrett has been appointed Group Vice President, Procurement and Program Management. Previously, he served as Group Vice President, Engineering and Procurement. In this role, Barrett maintains the responsibility of AAM's global procurement activities and assumes the responsibilities of global program management and new product launches. In 2013, AAM will complete twenty-eight major product launches worldwide, including the launch of its industry-first EcoTracTM Disconnecting All Wheel Drive System.
