International Steel Group Announces Operating Interruption at Riverdale Facility RICHFIELD, Ohio, June 25 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- International Steel Group Inc. (NYSE:ISG) announced today that its ISG Riverdale, Inc. subsidiary in Illinois experienced an unscheduled outage at its Basic Oxygen Furnace (BOF) on Thursday. The outage resulted from the failure of a portion of the base of the cooling tower section of the BOF off-gas cooling system. No one was injured in the incident. While the Company is still assessing the damage to the cooling tower, it expects to make the necessary repairs as soon as possible so that operations can resume within 14 days. In the meantime, the Company is immediately reallocating orders where possible to ensure that customer service is not interrupted, and that all hot metal previously shipped to Riverdale will be consumed. ISG does not expect this outage to have a significant effect on its second-quarter financial results. About International Steel Group Inc.
